Camels Win Gold in Varsity Four Regatta at ECAC National Invitational Regatta

WORCESTER, Mass.--The Connecticut College women's rowing team competed in the Eastern College Athletic Conference National Invitational Regatta in Worcester, Mass.

In the women's varsity four, the Camels posted a time of 7:59 to win the gold medal. The Bantams of Trinity College placed second with a time of 8:28. Ithaca College won the bronze with a time of 8:35 while the Pioneers of Smith College finished fourth in 9:01.  

The winning line up for the Camels consisted of senior coxswain Maureen Sweeney (New Canaan, Conn.), stroke Anne Speranza (Hopkinton, Mass.), three seat Natalie Calhoun (San Francisco, Calif.), two seat senior Seana Siekman (Bethel, Maine) and bow seat Lindsey Cook (Carlisle, Mass.).

Connecticut College also place third in the fourth level final of the varsity eight regatta with a time of 7:56.
