Camel Win Novice Regatta with Open Water at Worcester

WORCESTER, Mass.--The Connecticut College women's rowing team headed north to compete in the Snake Regatta on Lake Quinsigamond Saturday morning.

It was a successful start for Head Coach Eva Kovach's Camels. 

In the novice four regatta, the Camels posted a time of 20:15 to win with open water. Bowdoin College placed second with a time of 21:25. The Judges from Brandeis University took third place in 24:25.

The B Boat from Brandeis posted a time of 26:34 to place fourth. Massachusetts Maritime Academy was fifth with a time of 27:15. 

The Camels placed second out of 19 teams in the varsity four regatta with a time of 18:41. The Polar Bears of Bowdoin College won the regatta in 18:02.

The Connecticut College C Boat logged a time of 19:33 to finish in sixth place. The Camels' B boat placed 14th with a time of 21:01. 

The Camels will compete in the Head of the Charles Regatta next Saturday. Connecticut College will compete in event #27, the Women's Collegiate Four Regatta with a scheduled start time of 4:14 p.m. in Cambridge.
