WORCESTER, Mass.--The Connecticut College women's rowing team visited Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Mass. Saturday to compete against other rivals from around the region.
In the varsity eight regatta, the Camels posted a victory with a time of 7:24. Clark University placed second in 7:27, while the Camels' B boat took third place with a time of 7:39. Amherst finished fourth in 7:50. The B boat from Clark was fifth with a time of 8:01.
Amherst College won the varsity four regatta with a time of 7:54. Connecticut College placed second with a time of 8:05. The B boat from Connecticut College was third with a time of 8:20. The B boat from Amherst placed fourth in 8:22 and was followed by the Connecticut College C boat (8:35) and the Massachusetts Maritime Academy, who logged a time of 9:32 en route to its sixth place showing.
In the novice four regatta, Amherst posted a victory in 8:00. Connecticut College finished second with a time of 8:25, while Amherst College finished third in 8:48. WPI took fourth place with a time of 8:53 and the Cougars from Clark finished fifth in 9:06.
In the men's varsity four, the Camels secured a victory with a time of 7:07. Clark University finished second with a time of 7:08 while Amherst posted a time of 7:09 to finish in third place.
The Buccaneers from the Massachusetts Maritime Academy placed fourth with a time of 7:27.
The Camels placed third in the novice four regatta with a time of 8:01.15.
Amherst won the regatta with a time of 7:11. The Amherst B boat was second with a time of 7:44.
