WORCESTER, Mass.--The Connecticut College women's rowing team competed in the Eastern College Athletic Conference-National Invitational Rowing Championships (NIRC) on Sunday at Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Mass.
In the novice eight regatta, the Camels placed second in the petit final with a time of 7.59. St. Lawrence won the regatta in 7:45. The Camels finished ahead of Wellesley College, Smith College, Clark University and Tufts who finished 3-6 in the regatta.
Connecticut College finished fifth out of seven teams in the grand final of the varsity four with a time of 8:30.
Bates College edged out the University of New Hampshire in a close finish with a time of 7:55.
William Smith College and St. Lawrence took third and fourth place with the Camels securing a fifth place finish.
Washington College was the sixth place finisher with the Coast Guard taking seventh place.
The Camels also placed seventh in their heat in the varsity four regatta with a time of 7:27.
