Camel Women's Novice Four Tops Eight Team Field at Head of the Snake Regatta

WORCESTER, Mass.--The Connecticut College women's rowing team opened the fall season in Worcester, Mass. with the Head of the Snake Regatta Saturday.

Head Coach Eva Kovach's Camels had a successful start to the 2014-2015 campaign.

In the varsity four regatta, the Camels placed fifth in the 24 team field with a time of 17:36.

Grace Steward was positioned in the stroke seat. Sarah Fishman and Kelley Barnes joined Natalie Calhoun in the bow seat for Connecticut College. Alexandra Friedman guided the Camels as the coxswain.

Ari Wendt coxed the Camels to a sixth place finish in 17:40 with their A Boat. Connecticut College's C Boat finished 15th with a time of 18:25.

Bowdoin College posted a time of 16:49 to win the regatta.

The Camels picked up a victory in the novice four regatta Saturday.

Connecticut College posted a time of 19:08 en route to their victory. Phoebe Masterson-Eckart was positioned in the stroke seat. Danielle Schuman and Camden Cone joined Sadie Homeier, who was seated in the bow.

 Annie Dilisio guided the Camels to the triumph as the coxswain.
