Camels 3, Hamilton 3 Annie Higgins, Fagan & Raymond Supply First Half Scores for Camels

NEW LONDON, Conn.—The Connecticut College and Hamilton College women's soccer teams battled to a 3-3 tie in a NESCAC game played on Tempel Green Saturday.

Connecticut College moves to 1-1-2 with a 0-1-2 record in the NESCAC while the Continentals move to a 3-1-1 with a 1-1-1 mark in conference action.

Annie Higgins (West Harford, Conn.), Abby Fagan (Westport, Conn.) and Rebecca Raymond

(Lowell, Mass.) scored first half goals for Connecticut College.

But Hamilton responded with goals from Becca Rees (Framingham, Mass.) along with consecutive scores from Kendall Daly (Glen Rock, N.J.) to rally for the tie.

Daly scored the equalizer on a free kick with 3:43 remaining in regulation.
Hamilton held a 19-to-14 edge in shots and a 9-to-4 advantage in corners.

Liza Gergenti (Warwick, N.Y.) made four saves for the visitors. Junior Natalie Signor (Glastonbury, Conn.) finished with eight saves for the Camels. Bella Hall (Manhattan Beach, Calif.) chipped in with two saves in 23:43 of relief duty.

The Camels opened the scoring in the 11th minute of action. Cathy Higgins (West Hartford, Conn.) made a nice feed to Sister Annie, who caromed a shot of the left post and into the goal to make it a 1-0 game. Later on with 9:54 remaining, sophomore Lily Cannon (West Hartford, Conn.) was able to play a ball back to Abby Fagan for a deep blast that went over the head of the keeper.
With 3:09 remaining in the half,  Astrid Kempainen (Chazy, N.Y.) assisted Rebecca Raymond in a designed give and go play off of a corner kick to push the Camel advantage to 3-0.
But Hamilton stormed back with goals in the 60th and 62nd minute before Freeman supplied the equalizer.

Hamilton out-shot the Camels 8-to-2 in the extra sessions but the game ended in a draw.
