Connecticut College 3, Middlebury College 2 2OT Tribelli Supplies Game-Winner for Camels

NEW LONDON, Conn.--Junior Alexa Tribelli (Cranston, R.I.) buried a 35 yard blast in the 102nd minute to lift the Connecticut College women's soccer team to a 3-2 victory against conference rival Middlebury College on Freeman Field at Tempel Green here today.

The Camels improved their record to 2-0 (1-0 NESCAC) with the triumph, while the Panthers moved to 1-1 (0-1 NESCAC).

Sophomore Alex Baltazar (Ludlow, Mass.) netted her third goal of the week to break a 1-1 tie just 12 seconds into the second stanza.  Rookie keeper Sarah Williams (Sherborn, Mass.) notched her second straight win, finishing with six saves in the triumph.

Middlebury College senior Adrianna Gildner (Woodinville, Wash.), and Alex Barber (Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.) both supplied scores for the visitors.

Kate Reinmuth (Olympia, Wash.) made one save in goal.

Locked in the 1-1 tie at the half, the Camels took their first lead when Livi Block (New York, N.Y.) won a ball ahead to Baltazar who chipped one in for the Camels in a 1x1 situation with the keeper. But with 5:37 to go, the Panthers answered back when Gildner rifled home a shot from 30 yards out to even things up at two.

The game remained scoreless after one overtime session. But 1:40 into the second overtime frame, Tribelli delivered the game-winning boot as the Camels took their second straight home win against Panthers on Freeman Field.
