Camels Blank BC & Northeastern on Opening Day

BOSTON, Mass.--The Connecticut College women's squash team visited the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Sunday to compete in matches against Boston College and Northeastern University.

The Camels secured 9-0 shutout wins in both matches to improve their record to 2-0.

Information from the win against the Eagles was not yet available.

In the Northeastern win, senior co-captain Ashley Arthur (pictured, New York, N.Y.) posted a 3-1 win to lead the Camels at the top spot on the ladder. Sophomore Mawa Ballo (Harlem, N.Y.) cruised to an 11-6, 11-0, 11-6 blanking against the Huskies at #2.  Aaliyah Davidson (New Haven, Conn.) coasted to an 11-4, 11-3, 11-3 triumph at the third spot on the ladder.

Olivia Silverman (New Canaan, Conn.) checked in with an 11-4, 11-4, 11-2 victory at number four. Junior Anne Holly (York, Pa.) secured an 11-8, 11-7, 11-6 victory at number five. Caroline Lippincott (Jamestown, R.I.)  posted an 11-1, 11-7, 11-7 victory in the sixth spot for the Camels.  Jacqueline Chu (New York, N.Y.) notched an 11-2, 11-4, 11-5 victory in the seventh slot.

The Camels also won an 11-4, 11-2, 11-4 victory at number eight. In the ninth spot, sophomore Elizabeth Varoli (Katonah, N.Y.) romped in an 11-1, 11-2, 11-2 victory for the Camels.
