NESCAC Championship: #6 Hamilton College 9, #11 Connecticut College 0 Arthur, Ballo Shine in Loss for Camels

HARTFORD, Conn.--The Connecticut College women's squash team dropped a 9-0 decision to Hamilton College in the opening round of the 2016 NESCAC Championship at Trinity College Friday.

Ranked 19th nationally, the sixth seeded Continentals evened their record at 7-7. The Camels slipped to 6-13 with the loss.

Senior Ashley Arthur (New York, N.Y.) dropped an 11-7, 11-7, 11-5 decision to Rachel Newman in the top slot on the ladder.  In the second spot in the line-up, sophomore Mawa Ballo (pictured, Harlem, N.Y.) fell to Lindsay Arader, 11-4, 11-9, 11-9.

Head Coach Ted Childs and the Camels will look to bounce back tomorrow when they play two more matches at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Conn.

The Camels will take on ninth seeded Wesleyan at 10:00 a.m. before closing out the day with a 2:30 p.m. match up with 10th seeded Tufts University.
