Women’s Squash Drops Home Opener to Wesleyan

NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Connecticut College women's squash team dropped its home opener to Wesleyan by a tight 6-3 decision on Friday evening.

The Camels got all of their scoring from the bottom of the lineup and courtesy of sophomore Noelle Giuliano (McLean, Va.), freshman Birgitta Salvesen-Quinn (Cambridge, Mass.), and junior Phoebe Pilakas-Smith (Conway, Mass.) in straight sets. Salvesen-Quinn took down her opponent in dominating fashion, winning the No. 8 position by marks of 11-2, 11-8 and 11-0.

Connecticut College (1-5) breaks for final exams and will be back in action next semester.
