Women’s Squash Blanks Wellesley, 8-0, in Final Home Match of the Season

NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Connecticut College women's squash team blanked Wellesley by an 8-0 score in its final home match of the season on Saturday afternoon.

The Camels triumphed without dropping a set and most notably got dominating victories from freshman Johanile Hurtado (New Haven, Conn.) and junior Mikayla Waterhouse (Scarsdale, N.Y.) at the No. 3 and No. 8 positions, respectively. Hurtado defeated her opponent by 11-0, 11-1 and 11-4 scores, while Waterhouse registered set wins of 11-2, 11-1 and 11-2.

Connecticut College (5-10) will compete at CSA Nationals next weekend against opponents to be determined at a later date.
