Women’s Squash Downs Boston College, 8-1, at CSA Nationals

HARTFORD, Conn. – The Connecticut College women's squash team downed Boston College, 8-1, in its opening match at CSA Nationals on Friday afternoon at Trinity.

All eight Camel victories came in straight sets. Freshman Johanile Hurtado (New Haven, Conn.) put forth the most dominating effort, winning by scores of 11-0, 11-0, and 11-4 from the No. 5 position. Noelle Giuliano (McLean, Va.) took the No. 8 spot by marks of 11-3, 11-2, and 11-2, while freshman Birgitta Salvesen-Quinn (Cambridge, Mass.) captured her match at No. 6 by scores of 11-5, 11-1, and 11-4.

Connecticut College (6-10) will continue competing at CSA Nationals against Colby tomorrow morning at 8:30 a.m.
