NEW LONDON, Conn.--The Connecticut College women's swimming and diving team hosted a tri-meet with Wellesley College and Bates at Lott Natatorium Saturday.
The Camels (11-1) defeated the Blue from Wellesley by a count of 175-105 while also outlasting the Bobcats from Bates in a close 149-138 decision.
Senior All-American Julia Pielock (Deerfield, Mass.) triumphed in both the 50 and 100 yard freestyle with respective times of 23.90 and 53.15 seconds for the Camels.
Sophomore Sam Pierce (Windsor, Conn.) contributed a victory in the 200 yard free with a time of 1:55.03. In the 100 yard breast, Evie Mitchell (Charlotte, Vt.) won with a time of 1:08.25 for the Camels. Sara Beers (Toms River, N.J.) notched a victory in the 200 yard back with a time of 2:13.19.
In the 500 yard free, sophomore Emma Rotner (Durham, N.H.). posted a time of 5:08.75 to pull out a win.
The Camels added a pair of victories in relay events.
In the 200 yard medley relay, Skye Qi Marigold (East Hampton, N.Y.), Evie Mitchell, Anna Peterson (Winnetka, Ill.) and Julia Pielock posted a time of 1:49.09 en route to their win.
Ivy Durepo (Petersham, Mass.), Marigold, Pielock and Sam Pierce tacked on another triumph for the Camels with their time of 1:38.33.
