Connecticut College 163, Grinnell College 68 Klier Posts Victories in 200 & 500 Yard Free for Camels

NAPLES, Fla.—Julia Klier (Cohasset, Mass.) posted victories in the 200 and 500 yard freestyle events with respective times of 1:56.66 and 5:11.44 to lead the Connecticut College Camels to a 163-68 victory against Grinnell College in Naples, Fla. today. 

Senior All-American Valerie Urban (Lancaster, Pa.) won the 1650 yard free in 17:32.69 for the Camels. Anne Myers (Tampa, Fla.) won the 400 yard individual medley in 4:56.14. Sophomore All-American Olivia Haskell (Norwalk, Conn.) posted a winning time of 24.99 seconds in the 50 yard freestyle. 

Senior Anna Peterson (Winnetka, Ill.) triumphed in the 100 yard fly for the Camels with a time of 1:00.79.  In the 100 yard free, Lily Gribbel (Pleasanton, Calif.) posted a victory in 53.86 seconds. Sophomore Danielle Fergus (Pleasant Valley, N.Y.) was the winner in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 1:00.61 for the Camels.

The Camels won both relays in the Sunshine State today. 

In the 200 yard medley relay, the Camel quartet comprised of Maeve Wilber (New Marlborough, Mass.), Mary Erb (Readfield, Maine), Gribbel and Juliette Lee (Cold Spring Harbor, N.Y.) posted a winning time of 1:50.87.

Olivia Haskell, junior All-American Charlotte Nixon (Rye, N.Y.), Lee and Gribbel won the 200 yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:40.51 for Connecticut College.
