Williams College 186, Connecticut College 108 Urban, Erb Provisionally Qualify for NCAAs

NEW LONDON, Conn.--Senior All-American Valerie Urban (Lancaster, Pa.) and Mary Erb (Readfield, Maine) provisionally qualified for the 2017 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championship for Connecticut College at Lott Natatorium today.

Urban won the 1650 yard freestyle with a time of 17:24.09 in today's dual meet against Williams College to meet the provisional standard for the NCAAs. She also posted a winning time of 5:07.76 in the 500 yard freestyle. 

Erb broke the school record in both the 100 and 200 yard breaststroke with respective times of 1:05.65 and 2:21.95. Erb's performance in the 200 yard breast provisionally qualified her for the upcoming NCAA Championship in March.

Lily Gribbel (Pleasanton, Calif.) posted a victory in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 24.67. Julia Klier (Cohasset, Mass.) won the 200 yard backstroke in 2:08.18 for Connecticut College.

Williams College won today's meet by a final score of 186-108.
