Studwell, Brigandi and Miller Shine for Camels at Vassar Scramble

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y.--(Photo of Charlotte Marcoux provided by Christopher Boswell photography) The Connecticut College women's tennis team traveled to Poughkeepsie this weekend to compete in the Vassar College Scramble.

In the singles competition, Susanna Studwell (Tucson, Ariz.) provided the main highlight, registering a 6-4, 6-4 victory against Lauren Stauffeur from Vassar. 

The Camels also had some competitive matches in the second round. Adrienne Sieverding (Red Hook, N.Y.) dropped a 5-7, 6-3, 10-7 decision in a super tie-breaker against Lindsay Kantor of Vassar.

Jillian Brigandi (Harrington Park, N.J.) played a competitive match in the second round, falling in a 6-3, 6-3 decision to Ramya Pokala of New York University. 

The action shifted to doubles pairings on Sunday. In the third round of action, Brigandi and Gibson Miller (Canton, Ohio) secured an 8-3 triumph over Maryann Badura and Elizabeth Palmer from SUNY-New Paltz.
