Bates College 8 Connecticut College 1 Drljaca Posts Victory at #1 Singles for Camels

NEW LONDON, Conn.—Connecticut College junior Aleksandra Drljaca (East Greenwich, R.I.) secured a 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 victory at number one singles in an 8-1 loss for the Camels to Bates College today.

The visiting Bobcats improved their record to 6-10 with a 2-4 mark in NESCAC play. The Camels fells to 6-8 and are 0-5 in conference action. 

Bates College senior Elizabeth Erbafina (Sudbury, Mass.) posted a 6-1, 6-2 victory at number two singles for the visitors. Sophomore Bella Stone (Concord, Mass.) chipped in with a 6-3, 6-0 triumph at third singles for the Bobcats.

In third doubles action, Connecticut College sophomore Brinley Bartlett (Malvern, Pa.) and senior Adrienne Sieverding (Red Hook, N.Y.) dropped a closely contested 8-6 decision to Bates College first year Lauren Hernandez (Chester, N.J.) and senior Kate Rosenthal (Pittsburgh, Pa.)
