Women’s Tennis Drops NESCAC Matchup at No. 8 Tufts

MEDFORD, Mass. – Senior Emily Migliorini (North Haven, Conn.) won her singles match, but it wasn't enough, as the Connecticut College women's tennis team fell to No. 8 Tufts by an 8-1 score on Saturday afternoon.

Migliorini stormed back from behind to defeat Patricia Obeid by set scores of 0-6, 6-3, and 10-5 at No. 1 singles. Sophomore Paige Braithwaite (Skillman, N.J.) also went the distance in her singles match at the No. 6 spot before ultimately coming up short against Anna Lowy by marks of 6-2, 5-7, and 10-5.

In doubles action, freshman Brooke Scully (Winchester, Mass.) and senior Mariah Warren (McLeansville, N.C.) played in the most competitive match. The pair fell by a score of 8-2 at the No. 1 spot.

Connecticut College (8-9, NESCAC 0-6) returns home to face Hamilton on Saturday, Apr. 20 at 10 a.m.
