MEDFORD, Mass.--The Connecticut College women's track and field team competed in the Tufts University Stampede this weekend. The Camels placed 10th out of 26 teams with a score of 19 points.
Sophomore Kim Bolick (Hopkinton, Mass.) earned invitations to the New England Division III, Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) and All-New England Championships with her second place time of 3:01.48 in the 1000 meter run.
In the 4x800 meter relay, senior Sarah Matthews (Westwood, Mass.), Michelle Wesley (Millwood, N.Y.), Caroline Leonard (Hingham, Mass.) and Bolick had their tickets stamped for the ECAC Championship with a third place score in 9:57.52. In the 600 meters, Matthews placed fourth with a season best time of 1:41.3 2 for Connecticut College.
Sophomore Samantha Pevear (Somersworth, N.H.) bested her own school record in the weight throw Saturday, covering a distance of 43 feet, 11 and three quarters of an inch.
