Bolick-McGinnis Place 1-2 in 3000 Meters at Bowdoin Invitational  for Camels

BRUNSWICK, Maine.--Connecticut College junior Kim Bolick (Hopkinton, Mass.) posted a time of 10:40.8 to win the 3000 meter run at Bowdoin College Saturday. The Camel women placed third in the three team field with a score of 107 points.

Bowdoin College won the invitational with a score of 246 points. RPI placed second with 163 points.

Kelsey McGinnis (Somerset, Mass.) placed second behind Bolick in the 3000 with a time of 10:43.0. Both runners qualified for the New England Division III and ECAC Championships.

In the 1000 meter run, Caroline Leonard (Hingham, Mass.) posted a time of 3:02.6 to qualify for the New England Division III, ECAC and All-New England Championship.

Bella Franz (Water Mill, N.Y.) was second in the one-mile run with a time of 5:23.1. In the 600 meters, Gianna Rocchio (Coventry, R.I) placed second with a time of 1:47.5.

Amanda Jacobsen (Stafford Springs, Conn.) was third in the pole vault, reaching her apex at eight feet, six inches. In the long jump, Alex Cammerata (Southborough, Mass.) covered a distance of 16 feet, one and a half inches to finish third. Sam Pevear (Somersworth, N.H.) threw the shot put 34 feet nine inches for another third place finish.

In the 4x400 meter relay, the Camel quartet consisting of Gianna Rocchio, Bella Franz, Anna Guay (Watertown, Conn.) and Caroline Leonard placed second with a time of 4:20.9.  Kimone Barton (Bloomfield, Conn.), Amanda Jacobsen, Tori Kenyon (Plymouth, Mass.) and Marina Stuart (Philadelphia, Pa.) posted a time of 1:54.8 en route to their second place finish in the 4x200 meter relay.
