Camels Win in 4x800 Meter Relay at Tufts

MEDFORD, Mass.--(Photo of Bella Franz Courtesy of Kevin Morris) The Connecticut College women's indoor track and field squad competed in the Tufts University Invitational Saturday.

In the 4x800 meter relay, the Camel quartet consisting of Ashley Curran (Franklin, Mass.), Kim Bolick (Hopkinton, Mass.), Caroline Leonard (Hingham, Mass.) and Bella Franz (Watermill, N.Y.) posted a winning time of 9:31.81.

In the 3000 meters, Kelsey McGinnis (Somerset, Mass.) placed fourth with a time of 10:38.67.

Kimone Barton (Bloomfield, Conn.), Bella Franz (Watermill, N.Y.), Gianna Rocchio (Coventry, R.I.), and Amanda Jacobsen (Stafford Springs, Conn.) placed fifth with a time of 1:53.38 in the 4x200 meter relay

In the 4x400 meter relay, Jacbosen, Katie DuBois (Scarborough, Maine), Ali Cookson (Beverly, Mass.) and Alexis Cheney (Waltham, Mass.) finished fifth with a time of 4:51.39.

Rocchio qualified for the New England Division III Championship with a time of 1:44.87 in the 600 meter dash.
