MIDDLETOWN, Conn.--Koko Mensah (Orange, N.J.) broke the school record in the shot put with a winning mark of 42 feet, nine inches. Shannon Kennedy (Longmeadow, Mass.) placed fourth with a mark of 29 feet, six and three quarter inches. Olivia Vener (Marblehead, Mass.) finished eighth for the Camels with a throw of 26 feet, four and one half inches.
In the 3000 meter run, junior Micaela Nee (Hanover, Mass.) triumphed in 11:22.88. Sophomore Eva Brydson (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) finished third in 11:34.89. Anna Guay (Watertown, Conn.) finished fifth in 11:41.02. Caitlin Teare (Yarmouth, Maine) posted a time of 11:56.87 to place sixth for the Camels. Julianna Donovan (Needham, Mass.) placed seventh with a time of 12:03.30.
In the 4x400 meter relay, Leila Alfaro (Charleston, S.C.), Alicia Palmer (Bloomfield, Conn.), Vener and Kennedy posted a winning time of 4:18.12 for Connecticut College. Senior Gianna Rocchio (Coventry, R.I.) took second for the Camels in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:36.34. Alfaro and Callahan Wilde (Wellesley, Mass.) place third and sixth for the Camels in the 60 meter hurdles with times of 9.81 and 10.64 seconds.
In the 100 meter dash, Ivana Lamptey (Leicester, Mass.) and Palmer took fourth and sixth for the Camels in 13.69 and 13.82 seconds. In the long jump, Kennedy, Vener and Kaitlin Thomas (Orange, Conn.) took third, sixth and eighth for the Camels with marks of 16 feet, five inches, 15 feet and one half inches, and 14 feet, three and one quarter inches. Steph Van Riet (Dover, Mass.) placed third in the 5000 meters with a time of 20:03.98. Other fourth place finishes include Jamie Dee (Bedford, N.H.) in the 400 meter dash (1:08.67) and Amanda Jacobsen (Stafford Springs, Conn.) in the pole vault (nine feet, two and a quarter inches.
Lamptey placed seventh in the 200 meter dash with a time of 27.76 seconds.
