NEW LONDON, Conn.—Two Connecticut College throwers were honored on the All-New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Women's Track & Field Team today.
In her inaugural appearance at the conference championship, Camel rookie thrower Koko Mensah (pictured, Orange, N.J.) won the NESCAC crown in the shot put at Bowdoin College Saturday with a mark of 42 feet, nine and three quarter inches. Junior Lauren Kennedy (East Longmeadow, Mass.) placed third behind Mensah in the shot put with an All-NESCAC mark of 40 feet six and one quarter inches for the Camels.
Kennedy threw the javelin 132 feet, three inches in another third place mark to earn All-Conference recognition for the Camels Saturday.
