MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Connecticut College women's track & field team began its indoor season at a tri-meet with Trinity and Wesleyan on Friday evening.

Led by senior Shannon Kennedy (East Longmeadow, Mass.), the Camels most notably had three student-athletes punch their tickets to the New England Division III Championships. Kennedy reset her own school record in the long jump and won the event by flying 17-feet, 1.50-inches on her first attempt. Sophomore Tarvis Hintlian (Winchester, Mass.) also qualified for the postseason event by posting a runner-up time of 5:15.19 in the mile, while classmate Sarah Clark (Cheshire, Conn.) also accomplished the feat by punching in a fourth-place mark of 26.85 seconds in the 200-meter dash.

Connecticut College will break for final exams and will next compete at the Bowdoin Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 12.
