Volleyball  Connecticut College 3, WCSU 1 Cunningham Dishes Out 39 Assists for Camels

NEW LONDON, Conn.--Kaitlin Cunningham (Ridgefield, Conn.) dished out 39 assists to lead the Connecticut College Camels to their fourth consecutive win, a 3-1 triumph over Western Connecticut State University at Luce Field House Wednesday night. 

The Camels improve their record to 11-9 with the triumph.  The Colonials had their four-match winning streak snapped, falling to 21-6.

The set scores were 25-22, 25-18, 24-26 and 25-20 in favor of the hosts. 

Chloe Ainley (San Jose, Calif.) chipped in with 13 kills and six blocks, while sophomore Caroline Martin (Palo Alto. Calif.) registered 12 kills and five blocks for the winning side.

Rookie outside hitter Karissa Smith (Bristol, Conn.) exploded with 16 kills and 10 digs in the loss for the Colonials. Jenny Hogan (Franklin Square, N.Y.) dished out 23 assists. Cady Cordes (Fallon, Nev.) contributed with seven kills and eight digs for the visitors.
