Connecticut College 3, Colby College 0 Camels Close Out Home Slate with Perfect 10-0 Record

NEW LONDON, Conn.--There's no place like home. That's been the moniker for the Connecticut College volleyball team in 2013. Friday night, the Camels capped off a perfect season in Luce Field House (10-0) with a 3-0 blanking of Colby College in front of 250 friends and family members.

The set scores were 25-23, 25-19 and 25-22 in favor of the hosts.

The Camels improve their record to 13-11 with a 6-4 record in NESCAC play, while the Mules fell to 10-12 with a 2-7 mark in conference action.

The Camels celebrated senior night with Erin Barker (Edwards, Colo.) and her family. 

Sophomore Caroline Martin (Palo Alto, Calif.) registered 13 kills to lead the hosts. Ella Johnson (Seal Beach, Calif.) chipped in with six kills for the Camels. Alex McDevitt (Medfield, Mass.) added six kills and five digs.

Sophomore Kaitlin Cunningham (Ridgefield, Conn.) dished out 28 assists for the winning side.

Alexa Busser (Dunstable, Mass.) had seven kills to lead the Mules in the setback. Sophomore Natalie Roy (Los Altos, Calif.) chipped in with six kills for the visitors. Senior setter Kate Pleasants (Virginia Beach, Va.) dished out 21 assists for Colby.
