Connecticut College 3, Bates College 0 Camels Improve to 5-1, Close Out NESCAC Sweep

NEW LONDON, Conn.--The Connecticut College volleyball team secured a 3-0 victory against Bates College in a match played at Luce Field House today.

The set scores were 25-19, 25-13 and 25-15 in favor of the hosts. The Camels improved their record to 5-1 with a 2-0 mark in NESCAC play. Bates slipped to 2-5 with an 0-2 mark in conference action. 

Senior Alex McDevitt (Medfield, Mass.) posted four kills in the decisive third set to help lead the Camels to the win. Junior Sam Hunter (Palos Verdes, Calif.) had three kills and five digs in set three. Jenny Kellogg (Los Altos, Calif.) three kills, six digs and one ace in the third set of action.

Bates College senior Chandler McGrath (Seal Beach, Calif.) had nine kills to lead the visitors in the setback. Gabi Eustache (New York, N.Y.) registered 16 digs in the match.  Julia Panepinto (Buffalo, N.Y.) dished out nine assists while Jacqueline Forney (Bloomington, Ind.) had seven helpers for the visitors.
