HARTFORD, Conn.—Jenny Kellogg (Los Altos, Calif.) had eight kills, 17 digs and three aces to lead the Connecticut College volleyball team to a 3-0 (25-16, 25-18, 25-17) victory against Trinity College in Hartford Friday night.
The Camels improved their record to 10-7 and are 4-3 in NESCAC play. The Bantams fell to 6-10 and are 1-7 in conference action.
Senior Alex McDevitt (Medfield, Mass.) finished with seven kills and 11 digs for the Camels in the Capital City. Classmate Ella Johnson (Seal Beach, Calif.) chipped in with four kills, six digs, a pair of aces and a solo block. Both McDevitt and Johnson will be honored tomorrow on Senior Saturday in New London prior to their noon-time matchup against Clark.
Rookie libero Dayna McCue (Franklin, Mass.) contributed 20 digs in the triumph for Connecticut College. Junior Sam Hunter (Palos Verdes Estates, Calif.) tallied 17 digs with a pair of kills. Katia Elisman (Lake Forest, Ill.) dished out 18 assists and added seven digs and two blocks in the triumph.
Sophomore Rachel Underwood (Danville, Calif.) and first-year Wyllie Boughton (Andover, Mass.) combined for 23 digs for the Bantams as Boughton also chipped in five kills on the evening. First-year Colette Scheffers (Flossmoor, Ill.) led the team with six kills on a team-high 27 attacks while Whitham paced the team with a pair of aces.
