Millward Honored as CWPA Player of the Week for Camels

NEW LONDON, Conn.--Connecticut College senior All-American Kelsey Millward (Baie D'Urfe, Quebec) has been named the Collegiate Water Polo Association's Division III Player of the Week.

It was a memorable week for Millward and the Camels, who took all three matches in Lott Natatorium to pull out their fourth consecutive Division III Crown.

Millward was honored as the CWPA Division III MVP Friday. Sunday afternoon, she was recognized as the post-season MVP.

Millward scored 13 goals over the three days of competition. She has accounted for 244 goals during her prolific playing career.

Junior net-minder Sarah Sovia (Pottstown, Pa.) was recognized on the defensive honor roll. Sovia turned aside 29 shots over the weekend, coming up with eight stops in the championship match against Washington & Jefferson College.

The Camels (15-6) will visit Harvard University Friday, April 29 to clash with George Washington University at noon in the first round of the CWPA Championship.

 The Championship will continue through the weekend at Harvard.
