McGinnis, Curran Lead Camels to 5th Place Finish in 19 Team Field USM Invitational
GORHAM, Maine--The Connecticut College women's cross country team scored 165 points to place fifth in the 19 team field at the University of Southern Maine Invitational Saturday.

MIT scored 52 points to win the invitational.

Kelsey McGinnis (Somerset, Mass.) placed 11th on the 5k course with a time of 18:33. Ashley Curran (Franklin, Mass.) posted a time of 18:41 en route to her 16th place finish. McGinnis and Curran were the top two finishing first year runners in the race.

Sophomore Emily Winter (Easton, Conn.) placed 38th with a time of 19:13. Nicole Adam (Cheshire, Conn.) posted a time of 19:50 in a 65th place finish. Sarah Huckins (Henniker, N.H.) registered a time of 19:57 en route to her 70th place showing. Sophomore Anna Laurence (Newton, Mass.) was next for the Camels in 77th place with a time of 20:05.

Anna Guay (Watertown, Conn.) checked in with a time of 20:08 as the seventh Camel finisher in 83rd place.  

The Camels finished ahead of Wellesley College, a team ranked seventh in last week's New England Poll. The top four finishing teams were all ranked among the top 10 in the region.
