WATERFORD, Conn.--The Connecticut College women's cross country team hosted its home invitational at Harkness State Park Saturday.
The Camels placed sixth in the 20 team field with a score of 194 points. Tufts University placed four of its runners among the top 11 to win the Invitational in convincing fashion with a score of 52 points. Ohio Wesleyan scored 97 points en route to its second place showing. The Judges from Brandeis University took home the plaque for third place with a score of 108 points.
Kelsey McGinnis (Somerset, Mass.) paced the Camels with her 12th place finish on the 6k course in a time of 22:28. Ashley Curran (Franklin, Mass.) was next up with a time of 22:55 in 24th place. Sophomore Emily Winter (Easton, Conn.) posted a time of 23:36 to finish in 49th place.
Caroline Lucas (Falmouth, Maine) checked in with a time of 23:46 in 58th place for the Camels. Sophomore Nicole Adam (Cheshire, Conn.) finished in 62nd place with a time of 23:51 for Connecticut College. Senior co-captain Sarah Huckins (Henniker, N.H.) logged a time of 24:17 in a 78th place finish for Camel Nation.
Junior co-captain Heather Rochford (Red Bank,N.J.) was the seventh Camel finisher in 104th place with a time of 24:46 for the hosts.
Michelle Wesley '13 of Millwood, N.Y. posted a time of 25:09 to lead the Connecticut College alumni Saturday.
