Camels Place Second at Five Team Plansky Invitational

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass.--The Connecticut College women's cross country team visited Williams College to compete in the Plansky 5k Invitational Saturday.

The Camels placed second behind the hosts with a score of 44 points. The Ephs scored 17 points to win the Invitational. 

Ten of the Camels' top runners ran this race as a tempo run in preparation for next week's conference championship in Waterford.

Ashley Curran (Franklin, Mass.) posted a time of 20:38 to finish in fifth place. Kelsey McGinnis (Somerset, Mass.) was sixth with the same time of 20:38. Bella Franz (Water Mill. N.Y.) posted a time of 21:38 en route to her 10th place showing for the Camels. 

Anna Laurence (Newton, Mass.) checked in with a time of 21:39 to finish in 11th place. Ariana Beers (Fayetteville, N.Y.) was next with a time of 21:39 in 12th place Emily Winter (Easton, Conn.) placed 13th with a time of 21:39 for the Camels.

Nicole Adam (Cheshire, Conn.) posted a time of 21:40 to finish in 14th place. Caroline Lucas (Falmouth, Maine) registered a time of 21:41 in the race. 

Next up is the big one, the NESCAC Championship hosted by Connecticut College at Harkness State Park in Waterford next Saturday, November 2.

The Championship will get underway at noon so don't miss out on all of the action.
