Camels Place 14th in 53 Team Field at NCAA Division Regional Championship
GORHAM, Maine--The Connecticut College women's cross country team scored 438 points to place 14th in the 53 team field at the win the NCAA Division III Regional Championship hosted by the University of Southern Maine at the Narragansett School Saturday.

Williams College placed four of its runners in the top 10 to win the New England Championship with a score of 44 points. Middlebury College placed second with a score of 57 points.

"It's been a great season for us," Connecticut College Head Women's Cross Country Coach Ned Bishop said. "We're really excited about our future as a program with four freshman and three sophomores competing for us today."

Kelsey McGinnis (Somerset, Mass.) posted a time of 22:18 to finish in 37th place. Ashley Curran (Franklin, Mass.) was next in 76th place with a time of 22:58 on the 6k course. Sophomore Emily Winter (Easton, Conn.) logged a time of 23:28 in a 99th place showing.

Sophomore Ariana Beers (Fayetteville, N.Y.) checked in with a 111th place finish in 23:37. Nicole Adam (Cheshire, Conn.) was the 115th finisher in 23:41. Bella Franz (Watermill, N.Y.) posted a time of 23:49 to finish in 119th place. Caroline Lucas (Falmouth, Maine) was the seventh Camel finisher in 170th place with a time of 24:44.
