MIDDLEBURY, Vt.--The Connecticut College women's cross country team visited Middlebury College to compete in the NESCAC Championship Saturday.
The Panthers placed four of their runners among the top 10 to win the Championship with a score of 38 points on their home course.
Williams College placed second with a score of 47 points while the Lord Jeffs from Amherst College placed third with a score of 108 points.
Connecticut College sophomore Ashley Curran of Franklin, Mass. posted a time of 23:25 on the 6k course to pace the Camels in 20th place.
The Camels matched their finish in 2013, placing seventh in the 11 team field with a score of 200 points.
Junior Emily Winter (Easton, Conn.) checked in with a time of 24:05 to finish in 34th place. Sophomore Bella Franz (Water Mill, N.Y.) had a strong showing for Head Coach Ned Bishop's squad, posting a time of 24:17 to finish in 40th place.
Freshman Grace Sheeran (Medina, Wash.) finished in 52nd place as the fourth Camel scorer with a time of 24:49. Sophomore Anna Guay (Watertown, Conn.) completed the course in 25 minutes flat as the 54th finisher. Casey Sullivan (Beijing, China) was next in 55th place with a time of 25:03.
Sophomore Kelsey McGinnis (Somerset, Mass.) was the seventh Camel to complete the course in 62nd place with a time of 25:16.
