Camels Top Nine Team Field in Season Opening Trinity Invitational

MANCHESTER, Conn.--The Connecticut College women's cross country team placed four of its runners among the top seven to win the nine team Trinity College Invitational at Wickham Park Saturday with a score of 28 points.

The Hawks from the University of Hartford placed second with 50 points and Trinity placed third on its home course with a score of 63 points.

Sophomore Alex Fromme (Carlsbad, Calif.) posted a time of 19:34 to place second on the 5k course. Senior Emily Winter (Easton, Conn.) placed third with a time of 19:59. Ariana Beers (Fayetteville, N.Y.) checked in with a fifth place showing in 20:28.

Junior Sabina Flandrick (Boulder, Colo.) was seventh overall with a time of 20:33.  Senior Nicole Adam (Cheshire, Conn.) was next for the Camels in 11th place with a time of 20:50.

Sophomore Grace Sheeran (Medina, Wash.) posted a time of 21:23 en route to her 23rd place finish. Sophomore Micaela Nee (Hanover, Mass.) finished in 29th place with a time of 21:36 for Connecticut College.
