BETHLEHEM, Pa.--The Connecticut College women's cross country team visited Lehigh University this week to compete in the Paul Short Run Presented by Asics.
The Camels scored 433 points to finish in 19th place out of 45 teams in the Collegiate Brown Race. Saint Joseph's University scored 166 points to win the event.
Junior Ashley Curran (Franklin, Mass.) was the top Camel scorer in 36th place with a time of 22:16 on the 6k course. Sophomore Alex Fromme (Carlsbad, Calif.) finished with the identical time of 22:16 in 38th place. Senior Emily Winter (Easton, Conn.) posted a time of 22:43 to finish in 71st place for Head Coach Ned Bishop's squad.
Sophomore Grace Sheeran (Medina, Wash.) finished in 129th place with a time of 23:11. Senior Ariana Beers (Fayetteville, N.Y.) was next in 161st place with a time of 23:27. Nicole Adam (Cheshire, Conn.) checked in with a time of 23:55 in 224th place. Caroline Leonard (Hingham, Mass.) posted a time of 24:02 en route to her 239th place showing as the seventh Camel scorer in the Keystone State.
Sophomore Cayla Condon (Sherborn, Mass.) was the 242nd runner to complete the course in 24:03. Junior Kelsey McGinnis (Somerset, Mass.) was 254th in the field with a time of 24:12. Sabina Flandrick (Boulder, Colo.) was the 261st finisher with a time of 24:16.
The Camels will host their home invitational at Harkness State Park in Waterford, Conn. October 17.
