Winter, Van Riet,  Lead Camels at Plansky Invitational

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass.--The Connecticut College women's cross country team visited Mount Greylock High School to compete in the Plansky Invitational hosted by Williams College Saturday.

With one week remaining until the conference championship, several Camels used this race as a training or tempo run, without pushing themselves to their maximum speed.

Connecticut College placed third in the five team field with a score of 79 points. The host Ephs won the race with a score of 19 points.

Senior Emily Winter (Easton, Conn.) posted a time of 21:20 to place 20th on the 5k course. Steph Van Riet (Dover, Mass.) was next in 21st place with a time of 21:32. Sophomore Micaela Nee (Hanover, Mass.) placed 23rd in the field with a time of 21:43.

Freshman Caitlin Teare (Yarmouth, Maine) placed 27th with a time of 21:52. Junior Sabina Flandrick (Boulder, Colo.) checked in with a time of 22 minutes flat en route to a 28th place showing for the Camels. Senior Nicole Adam (Cheshire, Conn.) finished in 29th place with a time of 22:01.

Senior Katie DuBois (Scarborough, Maine) posted a time of 22:24 to place 32nd in the field.

The Camels will visit Wesleyan next Saturday to compete in the NESCAC Championship.
