Camels Place Fifth out of 42 Teams at UMass-Dartmouth Invitational

NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass.--The Connecticut College women's cross country team scored 220 points to place fifth out of 42 teams at the UMass-Dartmouth 5k Invitational today.

Senior Ashley Curran (Franklin, Mass.) posted a time of 18:15 to lead the Camels while classmate Bella Franz (Water Mill, N.Y.) placed seventh with a time of 18:26. Anna Guay (Watertown, Conn.) was the third Camel finisher to complete the course at the 51st finisher with a time of 19:29.

Sophomore Caitlin Teare (pictured, Yarmouth, Maine) finished in 72nd place with a time of 19:52. Junior Grace Sheeran (Medina, Wash.) posted a time of 20:12 to finish in 86th place. Cayla Condon (Sherborn, Mass.) placed 112th in the field with a time of 20:35. Senior Sabina Flandrick (Boulder, Colo.) checked in with a time of 20:48 to place 124th in the field.

The Camels scored 74 point to tie for third place in the B race. Freshman Julianna Donovan (Needham, Mass.) posted a time of 20:12 to place sixth in the field. Hannah Noyes (Vinalhaven, Maine) placed ninth with a time of 20:23. Junior Micaela Nee (Hanover, Mass.) placed 10th with a time of 20:30.  Sophomore Steph Van Riet (Dover, Mass.) completed the course in 12th place with a time of 20:33.
