Women’s Cross Country Races at NESCAC Championships

BOSTON, Mass. – The Connecticut College women's cross country team finished 11th at the NESCAC Championships on Saturday morning at a rain-soaked Franklin Park.

By having all five of its scorers finish among the 15 runners, Middlebury won the title and its 14th overall with 47 points. Williams finished in the runner-up position with 73 points and was followed by Wesleyan (84), Tufts (124), Bates (128), Colby (154), Bowdoin (164), Amherst (213), Hamilton (226), Trinity (226) and Connecticut College 249.

The Camels were once again led by sophomore Meredith Cronin (Foxborough, Mass.), who crossed the line 25th overall among 140 runners in 23:27.1. She also improved her finish by 16 spots after hitting the tape 41st overall as a freshman last year.

Classmate Tarvis Hintlian (Winchester, Mass.) and senior Eva Brydson (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) were 48th and 52nd, respectively, with times of 24:05.4 and 24:12.5. Freshman Caroline Grape (Weston, Mass.) placed 64th in 24:26.1 and junior captain Hannah Noyes (Vinalhaven, Maine) finished 89th in 25:01.9 to complete the team's top five.

Connecticut College will return to action on Saturday, Nov. 10 when it competes at the New England Regional Championships.
