ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. - The Connecticut College sailing team began to wrap up its fall season by competing at two different regattas this past weekend. The coed team competed at the Atlantic Coast Championship Finals in St. Mary's City. Maryland while the women's team competed at the Oberg Trophy Regatta in Boston, Massachusetts.
The coed team placed 15th out of 18 other teams with a total of 203 points. Senior skippers,
CJ McKenna (Harwich, Mass.),
Walter Henry (Syosset, N.Y.), and
Will Bedford (Arlington, Mass.) most notably placed thirteenth in Division B with 98 points along with crew members
Cecilia Bohan (Newport, R.I.),
Liam Gronda (Chevy Chase, Md.),
Katherine Wetzel (Osterville, Mass.), and
Margaret Benson (Wellesley, Mass.).
The women's team placed 16th out of 18 teams, finishing with a total of 510 points. Skippers
Charles Bresnahan and
Hailey Pemberton placed 15th in Division C with 164 points along with crew members Ruth Reuschmann (Pownal, Maine) and
Alexandra Wagner (Southport, Conn.).
Next weekend, the coed and women's teams will be competing at MIT and Harvard in Boston, Massachusetts to complete the fall season.
