Coed Sailing Wins Two Regattas Over The Weekend

FULL SISTER ESTER RESULTS

NEW LONDON, CONN.
– The Connecticut College coed sailing team won the Moody Trophy and the Sister Ester regattas they competed in over the weekend. They also produced the top pair in both divisions at each regatta.
 
The Moody Trophy was hosted by the University of Rhode Island in Wakefield, Rhode Island. The coed team won with 158 points. Senior Tommy Whittemore (West Hartford, Conn.) and junior Margaret Benson (Wellesley, Mass.) won Division A with 81 points. Senior Walter Henry (Syosset, N.Y.) and junior Katherine Wetzel (Osterville, Mass.) won Division B with 77 points. 
 
The Sister Ester Regatta was hosted by Connecticut College on the Thames River. The coed team won with 54 points. Senior CJ McKenna (Harwich, Mass.) and junior Allie Tillinghast (New York, N.Y.) won Division A with 24 points. Senior Will Bedford (Arlington, Mass.) and senior Elizabeth Davis (Naples, FL.) won Division B with 30 points. 
 
The women's team also competed in the Sister Ester Regatta. The top finishers were senior Ana Clarkson (Seattle, Wash.) and junior Kensie Winton (Newton, Mass.), who paired up to place sixth in Division A with 61 points. 
 
Connecticut College will next compete at a pair of regattas next weekend. The coed team will race at Brown or Yale, while the women will host the Stu Nelson Regatta.
