Sailing Finishes Off Fall Season At Regattas In Boston

BOSTON, Mass. - The Connecticut College sailing programs competed at two different regattas this past weekend to finish off the fall season. The coed team competed at the 80th Professor Erwin Schell Trophy, hosted by MIT, and the women's team competed at the 2021 Victorian Urn Trophy, hosted by Harvard, in Boston. 
 
The coed team placed 12th out of 18 teams with a total of 368 points. Senior skipper Walter Henry (Syosset, N.Y.) and junior crew Katherine Wetzel (Osterville, Mass.) most notably placed eleventh in Division B with 178 points. 
 
The women's team placed 16th out of 16 schools with a total of 395 points. Junior skipper Aili Moffet (Jamestown, R.I.) and junior crew Miya Preyer (Brick Township, N.J.) posted the best finish by placing 14th in Division A with 200 points. 
 
Now that the fall sailing season has come to a close, the sailing team will continue to train during the winter and resume competing in the spring.
