PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Connecticut College coed and women's sailing teams continued the fall season by competing in two different regattas this past weekend.
The coed team competed in Providence, Rhode Island at Brown for the Sherman Hoyt Trophy. They placed 14th out of 17 teams. Senior
CJ McKenna (Harwich, Mass.) and sophomore
Cecilia Bohan (Newport, R.I.) finished in 11th place in Division B with 89 points to lead the way.
The women's team competed in Hanover, New Hampshire at Dartmouth at the 24th Mrs. Hurst Bowl. They placed 18th out of 18 teams. Juniors
Aili Moffet (Jamestown, R.I.) and
Miya Preyer (Brick Township, N.J.), freshman
Coco Carragher (New York, N.Y.), junior
Kensie Winton (Newton, Mass.), and sophomore
Ashley Breyer (Middletown, R.I.) finished in 17th place in Division A with 183 points.
The Connecticut College sailing team will compete again next weekend. The women's team will be home in New London at the Sister Esther regatta, and the coed team will be at the Moody Trophy regatta in Kingston, Rhode Island.
