Coed Sailing Competes At New England Team Race Championship

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Connecticut College coed sailing team is one of the top 12 teams in team racing in New England. This past weekend they competed in the 2022 NEISA Team Race Championship at Harvard on the Charles River. The Camels finished 10th out of twelve teams, losing a tie breaker with Boston College for 9th. 

Senior skippers Walter Henry (Syosset, N.Y.), CJ McKenna (Harwich, Mass.), and Tommy Whittemore (West Hartford, Conn.) led the team through the round robin format with a shifty breeze of 6 to 18 knots.

The women's team hosted the Camel Women's Team Race, finishing in ninth in the nine-team competition.

The Connecticut College coed team will next compete at the Thompson Trophy at home starting Saturday, April 16. The women's team will also be competing at Bowdoin for the Women's Fleet Racing Championship.
