Coed Sailing Finishes Fifth In Division A For Thompson Trophy

NEW LONDON. Conn. - The Connecticut College coed and women's sailing teams competed in two different regattas this past weekend. 

The coed team hosted the Thompson Trophy at home on the Thames River. At the end of the weekend they had finished 10th out of fifteen teams with a total of 381 points. 

Seniors CJ McKenna (Harwich, Mass.), Jean-Michel Bus (Sag Harbor, N.Y.), and sophomore Cecilia Bohan (Newport, R.I.) most notably finished 5th in Division A with 110 points. 

The women's team competed in the NEISA Women's Championship at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine. They finished 12th out of fifteen teams with a total of 330 points.

Seniors Ana Clarkson (Seattle, Wash.), Alexandra Wagner (Southport, Conn.), juniors Hailey Pemberton (Osterville, Mass.), Kensie Winton (Newton, Mass.), and sophomore Ashley Breyer (Middletown, R.I.) most notably placed 12th in Division B with 156 points. 

The Connecticut College coed team will next compete at the Admirals Cup in Kings Point, New York beginning April 23. The women's team will compete at the Morris Trophy in Boston, Massachusetts.
