BRISTOL, R.I. – The Connecticut College field hockey team wrapped up non-conference play with a 1-0 loss to Roger Williams on a wet Tuesday evening at Bayside Field.
Junior Meghan Murray (Burlington, Mass.) made seven saves in the cage for the Camels, who were outshot by a 21-11 margin but had a 9-8 edge in penalty corners. Hannah Palmer netted the lone goal in the 45th minute, and Hawk goalie Callie Flanagan picked up the shutout victory by only having to redirect two shots.
Connecticut College (2-11) will return home to host Hamilton on Saturday afternoon at 12 p.m. The Camels will also recognize their three senior captains prior to the contest.
