NEW LONDON, Conn. – Sophomore Henry DeCoster (Greenwich, Conn.) was victorious in singles and doubles action as the Connecticut College men's tennis team rallied to earn a 6-3 win over Coast Guard on Wednesday afternoon.
DeCoster, who provided the game-winning point in the Camels' 5-4 triumph over Trinity on Sunday, first paired up with senior Johnny Cissel (Amherst, N.H.) to earn an 8-7 win at No. 3 doubles before capturing the No. 4 singles match by set scores of 6-3 and 6-1.
Senior Will Cannon (Fairfield, Conn.) and sophomore Walter Komishane (Manchester, Mass.) were also among the winners for the Camels in singles action by capturing their respective matches in three sets. Cannon won No. 5 singles by scores of 6-3, 3-6, and 6-3, while Komishane defeated his opponent from the No. 6 spot by marks 2-6, 6-4, and 6-3.
Connecticut College (7-7) concludes a 14-match stretch away from home when it visits No. 18 Tufts on Saturday morning at 10 a.m.
