MEDFORD, Mass. – The Connecticut College men's tennis team concluded a 14-match stretch away from home with a 9-0 loss against No. 18 Tufts on Saturday.
Despite the setback, the Camels were competitive in several matches. Senior Will Cannon (Fairfield, Conn.) and junior Guillermo Garcia Rincon (Cáceres, Spain) fell by an 8-6 score at No. 1 doubles, while sophomore SangJin Song (Roslyn Heights, N.Y.) and freshman Julian Tien (Barrington, R.I.) came up short by the same score from the No. 2 doubles spot. Garcia Rincon also fell in a close No. 2 singles match by set scores of 6-3 and 7-5.
Connecticut College (7-8, NESCAC 1-5) will play its first home match since March 9 when it hosts Hamilton on Saturday, Apr. 20 at 2 p.m.
