NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Connecticut College men's tennis team dropped its final match of the season to Colby by a 7-2 score on Sunday evening.
Junior Guillermo Garcia Rincon (Cáceres, Spain) led the way for the Camels by factoring into both of the team's points. He first teamed up with senior Will Cannon (Fairfield, Conn.) to earn a hard-fought 8-7 victory at No. 1 doubles before triumphing in another marathon over Sumukh Pathi at No. 2 singles. Rincon, who had already beaten Pathi in doubles, outlasted the Mule sophomore again in head-to-head competition by set scores of 7-6, 6-7, and 6-4.
Connecticut College (8-9, NESCAC 2-6) graduates two seniors and is slated to return more than 10 letterwinners next season.
