TEMPE, N.J. – The Connecticut College men's tennis team was among 940 programs in the country across all divisions to be named an Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team.
To earn the distinction, a team needed to register a cumulative grade point average of a 3.20 or better. The Camel men recorded a 3.52 team GPA to easily surpass the standard.
In addition, eight student-athletes were recognized as ITA Scholar-Athletes for having a GPA of at least a 3.50 during the 2018-19 academic year. The individuals who achieved the mark included Brandon Ameglio (South Portland, Maine), Will Cannon (Fairfield, Conn.), Zachary Danz (West Tisbury, Mass.), Guillermo Garcia Rincon (Cáceres, Spain), Evan Goldsmith (Pennington, N.J.), Brian Gould (Lebanon, Conn.), Gabe Josephs (New York, N.Y.), and Walter Komishane (Manchester, Mass.).
Connecticut College graduated two seniors and is slated to return more than 10 letterwinners next season.
